Tire Service near Woodlands County
Tires and tire service for Blue Ridge, Fort Assiniboine and the rest of rural Woodlands County around Whitecourt.
Woodlands County surrounds the Town of Whitecourt and had 4,558 residents in the 2021 census, spread over about 7,600 km². Its hamlets include Blue Ridge, Goose Lake and Fort Assiniboine. Blue Ridge sits on Highway 658, 7 km north of Highway 43, with the Blue Ridge Lumber mill just north of the hamlet.
Winters are long here. The average daily temperature at Whitecourt stays below 7 °C from October through April, and about 175 cm of snow falls a year (Environment Canada 1991–2020 normals). Alberta Transportation recommends four winter or all-weather tires for severe winter conditions; see winter tires.
County roads include gravel as well as pavement. Gravel is harder on tires, especially sidewalls, and sidewall damage can't be repaired under the tire industry's standard (see flat tire repair). If your pickup spends a lot of time on gravel or lease roads, ask about LT tires.
If you're hauling heavy, Woodlands County publishes its current road bans on its website; check them before you load up.
